Process Safety Engineer Opportunity – Baton Rouge, LA
Infinitek is partnering with a leading specialty chemical company in the Baton Rouge area to find a skilled Process Safety Engineer with 5–10 years of experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in process safety and risk management within the specialty chemicals or similar industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), including HAZOP, LOPA, and other safety-related studies.
- Develop and implement process safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate process safety risks.
- Conduct root cause analysis and support incident investigations.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements for process safety.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in process safety engineering, ideally within the specialty chemical industry or similar.
- Strong background in HAZOP, PHA, and LOPA methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in facilitating safety workshops.
